Academic Scholarships

We open two scholarship rounds each year, one in Spring, and another in Fall.

Once the scholarship application period opens, you can get an application from the rental office at your community.

To apply, you will need to complete 5-6 short autobiographical essay questions, focused on what you plan to study, how you plan to manage challenges while you complete your degree, and what you plan to do when you graduate. Additionally, our application process requires the following:

  • Proof that you are a resident in good standing. This will be verified as part of application review.
  • Proof of acceptance at a recognized educational institution.
  • Your most recent school transcripts.
  • A completed annual budget showing all educational costs, and any other income sources to cover them.
  • A course schedule. If not available at time of application, this must be provided before a scholarship will be disbursed.
  • For first-time applicants, two (2) letters of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor, employer, clergy, youth group leader; etc.

Award amounts are based on a combination of:

  • Financial need
  • The type of educational institution
  • Whether you will attend full- or part-time
