Youth Sports Scholarships
Participating in physical activity is good for the body and mind, and participating in organized sports also teaches our younger residents key life skills critical for being an engaged part of the community. When you play on a team, you learn how to cooperate and work with others towards a shared goal. Regardless of the sport you pursue, you learn how to win (or lose) with grace, that hard work can pay off, and that one defeat doesn’t mean that you’re totally out of the game.
Unfortunately, the organized sports that teach these key life lessons come at a high price. Between registration fees, equipment, and travel, the cost of participating can quickly become too expensive for residents at our affordable communities. Our scholarships can be used to pay registration fees or purchase equipment, helping families defray some of the costs, and enabling our younger residents to take part in the transformative experience of participating in an organized sport.
